There is just something super magical about the Winged nation and no doubt that this bird is a formative member. I love the coolness of the background contrasted with the uber warm of the main focus... the bird. I had a strong sense that even if i painted this a thousand times I'd never get the feet and the limb to turn out this good ever again... I love this painting!
