Near mile post 111 just off I-182 in Washington state sits a beloved local personality. A rusty hulk patiently shadowing a grassy field that by example bears witness to an existence of time and grace. I couldn't take my eyes off of it. You can't drive by this sentinel of the fields and not wonder at the things it has seen and the places it has been -and never will. I couldn't wait to paint it and add to it's legacy.
